Will overseas customers be charged for receiving my SMS messages?
Customers are only charged for receiving messages overseas if they are outside of the country in which they have their phone contract, i.e. they are ‘roaming’.
For example if your UK customer, with a UK network operator contract, happens to go overseas, they may be charged for receiving the text you send (or any texts sent from other mobile phones). This will be dependent on their phone contract and their network operator’s roaming agreement.
Recipients will not be charged by TextAnywhere for receiving a message to their handset. Similarly, you will not be charged any more for sending a message to a handset that is roaming outside of its home country.
For International handset users there is also no charge to receive a text message if the user is in their local country (i.e. German handset user in Germany at the time of text). However, should the international user be in a different country, then they would be subject to their contract’s roaming charge rates.
